Our Story
Born to give writers a fair chance to sell their stories in Nollywood
In 2021, moving to Lagos revealed a harsh truth about the Nigerian film industry. While Nollywood was booming with productions, there was an invisible barrier keeping emerging screenwriters from connecting with producers actively looking for fresh stories.
Great stories were dying in drawers. Talented writers couldn’t get their scripts in front of decision-makers. Producers were recycling the same voices because they didn’t have access to the pool of emerging talent waiting to be discovered.
This access problem wasn’t about talent or quality; it was about infrastructure. There was no trusted marketplace, no curation system, no bridge between writers with ready scripts and producers with real budgets.
Scriptstore was founded by Emy Josephs to solve this problem. We built a curated marketplace where quality scripts find their audience and talented writers get the recognition they deserve.
